Beware of Unlicensed Contractors

Yesterday, I was in Chandler working on our new commercial property. And I noticed my neighbors “roofing contractors” installing their new roof that was recently damaged by the hail storm we had here at the beginning of August. I saw piecing in felt paper (which is wrong), no metal flashing it the valley, or 90lb roll roofing, no felt paper in valley and not to code. These were out of state contractors with no license.

It’s unfortunate that when storms hit communities we have a influx of out of state, unlicensed and inscruplous contractors¬†descend on the towns.

Homeowners please be advised: these guys are fly-by-night. You will have no leg to stand on when your roof leaks. The price sounds great at first, because it is lower. But they are not licensed and they cut corners. As with anything in life, you will get what you pay for. And to do the job right, costs more.

Then you will have the assurance that the contractor will be there, when these guys will not.

Please, support local businesses.
